KTE operates one track mounted Geoprobe 6600 rig. This rig is very maneuverable and can be used on very loose or soft surface soils. The rig uses a Geoprobe GH60 hammer and is capable of sampling up to 50-60 feet in typical normally consolidated soils. This rig also has an auger attachment and can be used with our Vertek CPT system. The track rig is brought to the site on a trailer with a flatbed pickup which has all the required supplies and decon setup. The small dimensions of the track rig also make it ideal for tight access areas.
